Manchester United have been handed a double injury boost ahead of the Champions League group stage clash against Copenhagen on the road.
The Red Devils have picked up only three points from as many group games and they need a victory tomorrow to boost their round of 16 qualification hopes.
Ahead of the clash, United have confirmed a timely boost with both Victor Lindelof and Marcus Rashford involved in first-team training earlier today.
Lindelof missed the 1-0 Premier League win over Fulham with an illness while Rashford was also absent from the squad after sustaining a leg injury.
The Englishman failed a late fitness test before the game and did not even make the bench.
Both players have now returned to team training and could be reinstated in the starting line-up when the Red Devils take on the Danish champions.
United handed timely boost ahead of Copenhagen clash
The Red Devils were not at their best against Fulham, but deserved the victory for the effort. They were unlucky to have a goal chalked off at the beginning of the game.
United looked on course to share the spoils until Bruno Fernandes’ dramatic stoppage-time winner. Facundo Pellistri provided the assist after some superb pressing.
The Uruguayan should get the nod over Antony on the right wing in our opinion and we won’t be surprised if Marcus Rashford starts on the left ahead of Alejandro Garnacho.
Garnacho delivered an assist for Scott McTominay’s goal which was ruled out, but he did not make a sufficient impact that could persuade the manager to stick with him.
Meanwhile, Victor Lindelof could return in the left-back position, suppose Ten Hag decides to pick two of Harry Maguire, Raphael Varane and Jonny Evans in central defence.
