Man Utd handed big boost with Fiorentina ready to accept loan-to-buy option for Sofyan Amrabat

Manchester United have been handed a big boost in signing Fiorentina midfielder Sofyan Amrabat with the Serie A outfit prepared to change their stance, according to Corriere dello Sport (page 21).

The Morocco international has been linked with the Red Devils for several weeks, but no formal offer has been made with La Viola being reluctant to lower their €30 million price tag.

However, the Serie A outfit have now softened their position on the 27-year-old, and they are willing to consider a loan deal with a right to buy at the end of the season.

Amrabat is currently training separately from the main group in Florence, and he is awaiting a move away from the club. We could finally see United making a proposal.

United handed huge boost in Amrabat pursuit

The Red Devils have been constantly linked with Amrabat since late June, and reputed journalist Fabrizio Romano has confirmed that he is waiting for an approach.

United have not been able to present an offer due to Financial Fair Play issues, but they could make a proposal in the coming days with Fiorentina loosening their stance.

The Italian club were adamant that Amrabat was not leaving for less than €30m, but are now prepared to consider a temporary exit with a buy option, likely for the same fee.

In our view, it is a no-brainer decision for United to sign him on loan. Amrabat has developed into a quality holding midfielder and would be a solid deputy behind Casemiro.

The Moroccan has a strong passing accuracy with good concentration skills. He is also clever with his tactical fouls and could also play alongside Casemiro to provide extra defensive cover.

Amrabat would be a risk-free signing for United if there is no obligation to buy him next summer. The Red Devils can decide on a permanent transfer based on his performances.
