Man Utd get Bristol City in EFL Cup

The draw for the quarter-finals of this season’s EFL Cup finally took place at 17:45 this evening after the original draw was scheduled for 16:00.

Manchester United reached the quarter-finals after a 2-0 win at Swansea City on Tuesday night.  Jesse Lingard scored both goals for us in Wales in a much changed lineup from the one that played at Huddersfield Town last weekend.

We will be on the road again in the quarter-finals after drawing Championship side Bristol City in the next round.

Bristol City hammered Crystal Palace 4-0 on Tuesday to reach the final eight and are the only side outside of the Premier League to do so this season.

The other fixtures for the quarter-finals are as follows:

Chelsea v Bournemouth
Arsenal v West Ham United
Leicester City v Manchester City

The fixtures will take place on the week commencing 18 December.

Prior to our victory at Swansea, we beat Burton Albion 4-1 last month in our only other game in this season’s EFL Cup.
