Manchester United stars Bruno Fernandes and Jadon Sancho are among the top 10 most valued players in the Premier League, according to CIES Football Observatory.
Fernandes has been a quality performer for the Red Devils over the past two-and-a-half years. In just 129 appearances in all competitions, he has amassed a sublime tally of 50 goals and 36 assists.
There are no surprises that he is one of the highest valued players in terms of transfer fees. As per CIES, the 27-year-old ranks eighth among Premier League stars with an estimated transfer value of €97.8 million.
However, the Portugal international is not the highest rated player in the Red Devils squad. That position has been taken by Sancho. He makes CIES’ Premier League list in the fifth spot with a value of €103.2m.
Unlike Fernandes, Sancho has not been able to set the stage alight since joining United. The England star had a tough debut season last term with just five goals and three assists from 38 outings in all competitions.
Regardless of this, his estimated transfer value does not come as a surprise, considering his past achievements at Borussia Dortmund. He also has age by his side at 22, and should only fare better for United going forward.
The winger will have an early pre-season from June 27 under new manager Erik ten Hag. He has the chance to adapt to the Dutchman’s tactics from the off, and put in top performances to boost his World Cup selection prospects.
