Man Utd confirm sixth pre-season friendly, to face Leeds United in Oslo

Manchester United have confirmed that they will be facing historic rivals Leeds United in Norway as part of their pre-season campaign.

The Red Devils previously confirmed five pre-season fixtures for the summer with four of those being played in the United States.

United have now announced a sixth friendly against Leeds at the Ullevaal Stadium in Oslo. It will be the club’s first summer friendly on July 12.

Here is United’s pre-season schedule

12 July v Leeds (Oslo)

19 July v Lyon (Edinburgh)

22 July v Arsenal (New York)

25 July v Wrexham (San Diego)

26 July v Real Madrid (Houston)

30 July v Dortmund (Las Vegas)

United had a positive pre-season under new boss Erik ten Hag last summer and the form has been carried over the campaign.

The Red Devils host Chelsea today and a draw would be sufficient to qualify for next season’s Champions League group stage.

The next part of the process will be to compete for the Premier League title. Ten Hag will be hoping for early signings before the US tour.

As things stand, it appears the Dutchman is eyeing a new striker, central midfielder and a central defender during the summer.

Harry Kane, Mason Mount and Kim Min-jae are reportedly the prime targets for the 53-year-old tactician.

Meanwhile, United could announce two more pre-season friendlies before the new Premier League season on August 12.

All of their summer fixtures are on the road. We expect at least one game at Old Trafford and it could be scheduled on August 5/6.
