Man United trio Ten Hag, Hojlund and Mainoo nominated for February Premier League awards

£200m sales windfall could spark Man United summer splurge on four targets

Manchester United manager Erik ten Hag has been nominated for the February Manager of the Month award, alongside Arsenal’s Mikel Arteta and Manchester City boss Pep Guardiola.

Ten Hag can be proud of his Red Devils’ February performance.

United secured four wins from five matches, including a crucial 2-1 victory over top-four contenders Aston Villa, reigniting Champions League hopes.

However, the month ended on a disappointing note, as United suffered a surprising 2-1 defeat at home to Fulham.

Ten Hag was not the only Man United nominee in the latest round of Premier League awards.

United striker Rasmus Hojlund is also nominated for the Player of the Month award after his recent excellent showings.

The Danish centre-forward had netted the second goal in the hard-fought 4-3 win over Wolverhampton Wanderers on the first day of the month.

Hojlund followed it up by scoring the opener in the 3-0 win over West Ham United days later. He also netted the opener against Villa.

He will vie with Joao Gomes (Wolves), Phil Foden (Manchester City), Pascal Groß (Brighton & Hove Albion), Rodrigo Muniz (Fulham), and Ollie Watkins (Aston Villa) for the award.

Rising star Kobbie Mainoo is nominated for the Goal of the Month award for his spectacular winner against Wolves.

The United youngster has been stellar in recent weeks and truly put his name on the map with an outstanding winner against Wolves.
