Man United Transfers Latest: Zirkzee mystery, Amass exit talks & Gore joins Luton on loan

Manchester United have just over 24 hours left to complete their summer squad rebuild, with the clock now ticking towards deadline day.

The Red Devils still have an unbalanced squad, leaving INEOS facing a frantic race against time to get their remaining deals over the line.

Here is the latest look at where United currently stand in the transfer market.

Joshua Zirkzee mystery

Juventus reportedly made their move for Joshua Zirkzee earlier this morning by tabling a £25.6 million proposal for the Dutch forward.

The Bianconeri have also stepped up their pursuit of Nick Woltemade.

The big question now is whether Juventus would still push for Zirkzee if they manage to prise Woltemade away from Newcastle United.

Late interest in Harry Amass

United are reportedly open to letting Harry Amass leave on loan as the youngster looks for regular first-team football.

Burnley and Wolverhampton Wanderers have emerged as late contenders for the 19-year-old, with both clubs showing interest in taking him on loan for the season.

The 19-year-old did not feature in the Under-21 clash against Leicester City earlier today, which has only fuelled speculation that he could be heading through the exit door.

Left-back hunt continues

United have made at least one signing on deadline day in each of the last five summer transfer windows, and another late arrival could now be needed.

The need for a left-back is becoming increasingly urgent, with United having already assessed Ferdi Kadioglu, Ian Maatsen and Jorge Salinas as potential solutions.

Lewis Hall remains their dream target, but convincing Newcastle United to part with their highly-rated starlet appears close to impossible.

New contract for Bruno Fernandes

United have opened talks with Bruno Fernandes over a new contract as they look to secure the future of their captain.

His current deal expires next summer, although the club have the option to extend it by another 12 months.

Fernandes remains the heartbeat of this United side, and his stunning hat-trick against Ipswich Town on Sunday offered another emphatic reminder of why the club cannot afford to lose him.

Dan Gore completes Luton Town move

United midfielder Dan Gore has completed a loan move to League One outfit Luton Town.

The 21-year-old will be determined to help Luton secure promotion to the Championship under manager Jack Wilshere.

Gore spent the 2025-26 campaign on loan at Rotherham United, where his performances earned him the club’s Player of the Year award.

Another strong loan spell could finally put Gore in contention for a place in the United first-team squad.
