Man United star Bruno Fernandes has been named Premier League Player of the Season

Manchester United captain Bruno Fernandes has added yet another prestigious honour to his unforgettable 2025-26 campaign.

Fernandes has officially been crowned the Premier League Player of the Season after producing one of the most influential campaigns in recent memory.

The 31-year-old has delivered outrageous numbers throughout the campaign while carrying United’s creative burden almost single-handedly.

He has already registered eight goals and 20 assists this season, with one final league game still left to play.

He has equalled the all-time record for most assists by a player in a single campaign, matching the legendary achievements of Thierry Henry and Kevin De Bruyne.

The Portuguese playmaker also leads the league in both chances created and big chances created.

He has carried the burden of his side on his shoulders and is now finally reaping the rewards with a significantly improved team.

He also etched his name deeper into Old Trafford history after winning the prestigious Sir Matt Busby Player of the Year award for a record fifth time.

No player in the history of the club has ever lifted the iconic award on five separate occasions.

He also won the Football Writers’ Association (FWA) Footballer of the Year award and United’s Players’ Player of the Year honour.

Supporters of Arsenal and Manchester City may feel disappointed after backing stars such as David Raya, Gabriel Magalhaes, Declan Rice or Erling Haaland for the award.

However, Fernandes has arguably been the most decisive and influential player in the Premier League this season, making him a thoroughly deserving winner of the honour.
