Man United prepared to convince Jadon Sancho to join them by offering two things: report

Manchester United are reportedly maintaining their interest in signing Borussia Dortmund’s Jadon Sancho despite the fact that current season has been halted due to the coronavirus pandemic.

Sancho has made immense progress during his two-and-a-half years at Dortmund and he has bagged 31 goals and 42 assists from just 90 appearances for the club.

According to Bleacher Report, United have yet to make a formal approach to Dortmund for the attacker but they are in constant contact with the player’s representative regarding a transfer.

The same publication suggests that they are prepared to hand the youngster with the iconic number 7 shirt and £200,000-a-week in wages, should he make the move to Old Trafford ahead of next season.

Still, the club would need to meet Dortmund’s asking price of more than £100m while guaranteeing the youngster with Champions League football for the 2020/21 campaign.

United are presently fifth in the Premier League standings and they are assured of the final Champions League spot at the moment with Manchester City banned from European club competitions for the next two years.

Elsewhere, the club can also qualify for the premier competition by winning the Europa League title. They are favourites to reach the quarter-final stage after a comfortable 5-0 win over LASK in the round of 16 first-leg.

Taking this into regard, United are definitely in a good position to lure Sancho to the Premier League and they could recoup some of the transfer funds through the sale of unwanted players.

Marcos Rojo, Chris Smalling and Alexis Sanchez are among those, who are currently out on loan. The trio will most likely be sold during the next transfer window to boost the club’s transfer kitty.

Meanwhile, Sancho is comfortable playing on both wings but over the past 20 months, he has generally slotted into the right side of the attack for Dortmund.

Daniel James has been the regular choice for United in the position this term but the Welshman may have to settle for a bench role, suppose Sancho makes the switch to the club.

United have been yearning for a right-sided winger, who can contribute to the club’s goalscoring exploits and Sancho fits the requirements with his ability to find the net and make chances for his teammates.
