Manchester United secured a 2-0 victory over PAOK to mark their first win of the Europa League campaign this evening.
The Red Devils struggled to capitalise on their home advantage in the first half.
Amad Diallo was brought down inside PAOK’s box, but the referee decided not to award a penalty.
United turned up the heat after the break, and Diallo’s header opened the scoring.
The 22-year-old doubled his side’s lead in the 77th minute with a fantastic curling shot.
The Red Devils had a few more chances in the second half as PAOK struggled to replicate the intensity they had shown before the break.
Player Ratings
Andre Onana – 7/10
The Cameroon international parried Mady Camara’s rising shot for a corner in the first half. He also did well to help his side play out from the back.
Noussair Mazraoui – 7/10
Mazraoui started as the right-back but often moved centrally to play as a midfielder when United had possession. He did well to support the attack.
Victor Lindelof – 6/10
The Swedish international did not make any errors.
Jonny Evans – 5/10
A sloppy clearance from Evans handed Camara a chance to take a shot. The veteran left his man unmarked inside the box, but a straight shot at Onana preserved United’s lead.
Diogo Dalot – 5/10
His poor touch allowed PAOK to equalise right after Diallo’s first goal. He was taken off for Lisandro Martinez after the hour mark.
Manuel Ugarte – 6/10
It was a much-improved outing from the midfielder, and he showed his ball-winning skills. He earned a yellow card from a tactical foul and was substituted.
Casemiro – 7/10
He created United’s first big chance by floating a cross at the far post for Alejandro Garnacho. The midfielder produced another decent shift.
Bruno Fernandes – 7/10
The United captain delivered two superb passes for Diallo to take shots, earning an assist from one of them.
Alejandro Garnacho – 4/10
It was a disappointing display from Garnacho. He misplaced a few passes, forcing Fernandes to express his frustration.
Amad Diallo – 9/10
Diallo played with a point to prove, and he was magnificent on his return to the starting XI.
An excellent header helped him score his first goal in over two months. He wrestled the ball away and curled a shot into the net to score his second goal.
Rasmus Hojlund – 4/10
Hojlund failed to beat the goalkeeper with a header from six yards. His hold-up play was abysmal and he looked off the pace throughout.
His expression when he was substitution showed he was unhappy with his display.

The winger delayed his through pass to Hojlund, forcing him into an offside position. He got a chance to score United’s third goal but dragged his shot wide.

The Argentine looked robust at the left-back spot, offering more solidarity than Dalot.
Christian Eriksen – 5/10
