Man United expected to sign Tyrell Malacia despite the Dutchman’s representation issues

Tyrell Malacia’s move from Feyenoord to Manchester United should go through as expected despite complications involving the player’s representation.

The Dutchman’s wish to change agents midway through the transfer has seen his switch to Old Trafford reach an impasse.

Although the Premier League club already have an agreement in place with Feyenoord, the player’s desire to prevent HCM Sports Management from doing the deal has created hurdles for United’s pursuit of Malacia.

That may pose a significant threat to United’s hopes of getting the deal for Barcelona’s Frenkie de Jong over the line.

HCM look after the midfielder, but the three-time European champions believe it should not trigger added complexities to de Jong’s move to England.

Let’s not forget that the company played a pivotal role in facilitating Donny van de Beek’s arrival in 2020.

As reported by Manchester Evening News, the representation issues involving Malacia’s agent, Ali Dursun, and the player’s father have been put to bed.

That should allow the deal to move forward as the Red Devils look to complete their first signing this summer.

Dursun, the entourage of other United summer target de Jong, is eager to see the deal out after Feyenoord agreed to sell their in-demand left-back for £12.9 million.

Man United hijacked Lyon’s bid to sign the 22-year-old as they aim to hand new boss Erik ten Hag another option at the left-back.

If everything goes as planned, the protracted deal for de Jong may soon go through, with talks between United and Barcelona already in advanced stages.

It is also worth mentioning that a deal for the former Ajax midfielder that could be worth up to £70m has nothing to do with Malacia’s delayed switch to the Premier League.

As it stands, it is only a matter of time before both players team up with ten Hag’s side.
