Manchester United have confirmed a handful of changes to their action-packed festive period schedule, with several matches selected for TV coverage.
Man United kick off December with a trip to St James’ Park, where they will lock horns with League Cup finalists Newcastle United on December 2.
The blockbuster clash against Chelsea at Old Trafford has also undergone a minor tweak, with the match now slated to kick off at 8.15 pm on December 6.
Man United welcome Bournemouth to the Theatre of Dreams in a traditional Boxing Day fixture slated to kick off at 3.00 pm, but that match has not been selected for TV coverage.
Erik ten Hag’s side will then prepare for a third consecutive fixture on home turf as they take on Bayern Munich in their Champions League second-leg encounter.
That mouth-watering encounter precedes their trip to Anfield, where they will take on arch-rivals Liverpool in a box office clash scheduled for Sunday, December 17 (4.30pm).
Man United then travel to London to take on West Ham United two days before Christmas, with the clash scheduled to kick-off at 12.30 pm.
The Red Devils are also part of a five-game Boxing Day schedule, closing out the matchday with a tricky 8.00 pm clash against Unai Emery’s resilient Aston Villa side.
Their final game of the year comes at City Ground, where they will take on Nottingham Forest at 5.30 pm before a 4.30 pm clash against Tottenham Hotspur at Old Trafford in their first league game of 2024.
The enormous gap in Man United’s fixture list between the Forest and Spurs games is a result of their FA Cup commitments, with the Red Devils set to feature in the third round of the tournament in the New Year.
