Manchester United have been linked with Italian striker Moise Kean.
According to Foot Mercato, United have added the former Juventus man to their shortlist of attacking targets.
Kean has scored 17 goals in 30 Serie A games this term, seven behind leading top scorer Mateo Retegui, who has also been linked with United.
He is under contract with Fiorentina until 2029 but has a £42.5 million release clause, valid from July 1 to July 15 this summer.
The Italian club are aware of the interest in their striker but are calm about the situation and want to keep him beyond this summer.
United will reportedly focus on signing either Kean or Napoli forward Victor Osimhen if they do not qualify for the Champions League.
Kean could be a good fit at United
After initial struggles early in his career, the Italian forward has become a clinical finisher at Fiorentina and could be a good fit for Ruben Amorim’s side.
He averages a goal every 149 minutes, the fourth highest in the Italian top flight.
Kean’s hold-up play is also impressive due to his physical strength. He rarely gets dispossessed, making him a good fit for the Premier League.
He is an affordable option for United. He may not demand huge wages as he earns £52,307 weekly at Fiorentina.
However, his disciplinary issues are problematic. He has received seven yellow cards across all competitions this term.
