Former Manchester United star Louis Saha has heaped praise on Marcus Rashford following the Red Devils’ 3-1 win over Brighton & Hove Albion in the Premier League on Sunday.
Rashford has transformed his fortunes in front of goal since the last international break and he bagged his sixth goal from seven matches during the recent league clash against the Seagulls.
The England international scored the club’s third goal of the game to make it 3-1 but shortly after, he was guilty of missing a simple tap-in from six yards out.
That did not cost the team, however, as they managed to hold onto their advantage and Saha was pleased with the desire and energy shown by Rashford in the quest for more goals.
Saha’s Tweet:
Great win. Love the desire of @MarcusRashford to score more. Impressed by number of ball recovered high on the field in 2nd half. Great energy level. OT!!!!! @ManUtd 3-1 @OfficialBHAFC

United’s victory over Brighton has propelled them to the seventh position in the Premier League standings but they are still nine points adrift of the Champions League places.
As such, there is plenty of work to be done after the international break and manager Ole Gunnar Solskjaer will be hoping that the players can maintain their good form during the congested festive schedule.
The Red Devils’ next league encounter comes against Sheffield United on the road and the game won’t be straightforward with the Blades showing a strong defensive resolve during the first half of the season.
