A section of the Manchester United have praised the tireless workrate shown by Daniel James during the club’s 2-1 pre-season triumph over Tottenham Hotspur on Thursday.
The Welshman was the Red Devils’ first purchase of this summer’s transfer window and he has already made his mark with starts in each of the four pre-season games for the club.
Against Spurs, James was once more electric with his pace on the counter-attack, but he was also impressive with his high pressing as he managed to get the ball off the opposition.
Here are some of the reactions towards his showing….
Daniel James is better than I expected, his pressing, eagerness to win the ball! #MUFC #mufctour

There were doubts when the 21-year-old made the move to Old Trafford earlier in the summer, considering he had just spent the solitary year with the first-team at Championship side Swansea City.
Though the speed remains the prime attribute, he has also impressed with his co-ordination with Rashford on the counter-attack while keeping the opposition on their feet with his quick closing down of play.
His crossing and finishing certainly require an improvement, but it won’t be a surprise, if Ole Gunnar Solskjaer picks him in the starting XI when Chelsea visit Old Trafford for the season’s curtain raiser next month.
Meanwhile, United continued their fine pre-season with a fourth victory on the bounce. Anthony Martial and Angel Gomes found the net in the 2-1 triumph over Premier League rivals Tottenham Hotspur.
The players will now make the return to Europe where they are scheduled to play a couple of friendlies against Kristiansund and AC Milan respectively before the league campaign begins.
