Manchester United owned winger Tahith Chong played his second game for Werder Bremen today.
The winger played the first half of the friendly against Austria Lustenau.
He looked promising and was a threat throughout the first half. He nearly had a goal through a shot that could have gone in, and he would have likely had an assist if he had squared the ball to his teammate. The Green-Whites won 4-2 continuing their winning streak.
The winger made his debut for Werder Bremen against LASK in a 4-1 win. He assisted once and remained an attacking threat.
Tahith Chong moved from Manchester United to Werder Bremen in search of regular first-team football.
The player recently spoke to Bremen’s official website about his qualities saying: “I love to go and dribble in one-on-one situations”.
“[But] I didn’t perform in the games in Manchester as I would have liked.
“The focus is now entirely on Werder Bremen and on playing a good season with the team.”
Chong is in good momentum and is expected to feature again for Bremen in the match against Groningen on Saturday.
The winger is likely to make his Bundesliga debut on the first match of the season against Hertha Berlin.
Germany has become a good landing ground for a lot of youngsters in recent times. Chong can look up to them and follow the suit.
