Manchester United

Stats: Liverpool with and without Sadio Mane

Manchester United are back in Premier League action on Saturday as we go to Anfield to face rivals Liverpool.

We start the weekend joint top of the table, already seven points ahead of Liverpool after only seven games.

The 21 goals scored by Jose Mourinho’s side is the second best in the division whilst only Crystal Palace and West Ham have conceded more goals than the 12 Liverpool have shipped already.

To make things more difficult for Liverpool this weekend is that they will be without star Sadio Mane for up to six weeks with a hamstring injury.

The Senegalese international was injured during his country’s World Cup qualifying games this past week.

Mane offers great threat down the wing for Liverpool with his pace and goalscoring ability.  He has 37 goals in 99 Premier League appearances for Southampton and Liverpool combined.

He has proven to be an excellent signing by Jurgen Klopp, so much so that the club actually depend on him.  This was very noticeable at the start of the year when he was at the African Cup of Nations in Gabon.

The stats below read for themselves:

With Mane Without Mane
Games Played 32 13
Goals per Game 2.2 1.6
Win Rate 59% 46%
Loss Rate 13% 23%
