Leny Yoro and Antony return to Manchester United training after injury spells

Manchester United have been handed a double injury boost as both Leny Yoro and Antony are back in first-team training, according to Daily Mail journalist Chris Wheeler.

The French centre-back fractured his metatarsal during a friendly against Arsenal while the Red Devils were on the pre-season tour of the United States in the summer.

He is back with his teammates at Carrington for the first time since then.

Antony was stretchered off after an ankle injury in the Europa League game against Fenerbahce last month. His return should be a boost for interim Man United manager Ruud van Nistelrooy.

The Red Devils host Greek club PAOK Thessaloniki FC in their fourth Europa League game of the season on Thursday.

The Dutchman will be desperate to lead them to their first victory in the competition this term following earlier draws against FC Twente, FC Porto and Fenerbahce.

The game could come too soon for Yoro given he has not played in months, and he may not be fit enough to feature in the Premier League game against Leicester City on Sunday.

Man United will resume action after the international break with a trip to Ipswich Town on November 24 with new manager Ruben Amorim in charge.

The Portuguese will be keen to hit the ground running when his tenure begins, and having Yoro available for selection will be huge.

The new Man United boss is expected to stick with his preferred 3-4-3 formation when he arrives, and the defensive trio of Yoro, Matthijs De Ligt and Lisandro Martinez fit perfectly into the system.

However, Amorim has been linked with an interest in Sporting CP centre-back Ousmane Diomande, and it would be no surprise if United made a move for him.
