Leicester could be without six players for trip to Old Trafford

Manchester United welcome Leicester City to Old Trafford for Saturday’s evening Premier League match this weekend.

We’ve started the season all guns blazing with two comfortable victories from two games, scoring eight goals in the process.

Romelu Lukaku has scored three goals in his first two league starts for the Red Devils, whilst Paul Pogba and Anthony Martial have scored in both games too.

Further good news for us heading into tomorrow’s match is that visitors Leicester could be without as many as six first-team players.

The Foxes have taken three points from their opening two fixtures, firstly suffering a 4-3 defeat at Arsenal on opening night before rebounding to beat newly-promoted Brighton & Hove Albion last weekend.

Craig Shakespeare could be without influential centre-back Wes Morgan at Old Trafford.  Though the captain did return to training earlier this week it has not yet been confirmed whether Morgan is fit enough to start the match.

Star centre-back Harry Maguire is also a doubt.  The summer signing from Hull City has just been called up to the England national team but didn’t train yesterday as a precaution.  Maguire picked up an injury in Leicester’s win over Sheffield United in the EFL Cup earlier this week.

Leicester also have concerns over Jamie Vardy as their leading striker hurt his ankle in the final minutes against Brighton last weekend.  He has not been ruled out of our match though.

However, former-Manchester City striker Kelechi Iheanacho has been ruled out.  Shakespeare has been quoted as saying “we have to be mindful of how hard we push him.”

Vicente Iborra and Robert Huth have not played for Leicester this season due to injuries and neither are ready to make their return this weekend.
