Juventus likely to cash in on Dusan Vlahovic, Man Utd part of four-club race to sign him

Juventus are likely to cash in on Dusan Vlahovic after failing to qualify for next season’s Champions League, according to Corriere dello Sport (page 18).

The Serbia international has endured a difficult 18 months with the Bianconeri, and it is reported that he is ‘looking for a relaunch’ of his career next season.

Juventus are also open to parting ways with him, considering they could suffer losses of €80 million in revenue after missing out on Champions League football.

The 23-year-old arrived in Turin from Fiorentina for €80m in January 2022, and it is claimed that he could be sold for a similar fee.

Aside from Manchester United, Bayern Munich, Chelsea and Paris Saint-Germain are deemed to be interested in signing him.

United could enter Vlahovic pursuit

The Red Devils currently have Harry Kane as the priority striker target, but they fear missing out on him with Tottenham Hotspur chairman Daniel Levy reluctant to sell to a Premier League rival.

Hence, the club may have to look at alternative options in the transfer market. Vlahovic could be one of those considered, given his relatively young age and immense potential.

The Serbian was superb in his final 12 months at Fiorentina. He scored a stunning 33 goals in Serie A, and many compared him with the likes of Kylian Mbappe and Erling Haaland.

He has struggled to find his feet at Juventus with only 17 top-flight goals in 18 months, but continues to attract high-profile interest heading into the summer transfer window.

Vlahovic has impressed with his positioning and finishing skills in his young career, and United boss Erik ten Hag could be tempted to bring him to Old Trafford ahead of next season.

Ten Hag had good success with a traditional striker in Sebastien Haller at Ajax, and could bring the best out of Vlahovic. The striker could capitalise on the big chances presented to him in the box.

We saw last season that Bruno Fernandes’ statistics were quite similar to Kevin De Bruyne, but he had far less assists due to the lack of a proper finisher. Vlahovic could be United’s solution.
