JJ Gabriel is expected to join the Manchester United first-team training at some stage this season, according to the Daily Mail.
The Red Devils head coach Ruben Amorim spent parts of pre-season watching footage of the 14-year-old attacker during internal flights on the US tour and has been impressed.
Gabriel has seven goals in six appearances for the Man United under-18s in the under-18s Premier League so far this term.
The teenage sensation was part of the under-19s squad that played at the prestigious Mladen Ramljak Tournament in Croatia back in August.
Man United director of football Jason Wilcox is a huge admirer of Gabriel, and the club recently arranged a meeting between him and Amorim to map out his trajectory.
He is unlikely to make his debut anytime soon but the Red Devils want to make sure he feels valued as European giants have him on their radar.
Bayern Munich and Barcelona have him on their radar, and he has been pictured with Lamine Yamal – who made his first-team debut as a 15-year-old.
Gabriel still has plenty to prove if he is to become a first-team player in the Premier League at a club like Man United, but the potential is there.
Not many talented kids have been able to hit the ground running when pitted against the big boys given the gulf between youth and senior football.
Gabriel will be desperate to prove that he can be an exception, and he will get his chances in first-team training sessions in the coming months.
Man United have some of the best academy players in the land as they have been focusing on strengthening their youth ranks in recent seasons.
They want to hold on to the likes of Gabriel going forward, and including the teenage sensation in first-team training sessions is the way to go.
