Jamie Carragher says Eze & Olise would walk into Man Utd’s team

Liverpool legend-turned-pundit Jamie Carragher has said that Crystal Palace duo Eberechi Eze and Michael Olise would walk into the Manchester United team.

The Red Devils suffered a disappointing 4-0 loss to Palace on the road last night. They were second-best for most of the game and the margin of defeat could have been larger.

Olise was the stand-out player for the hosts with a goal in either half. He had 62 touches with a passing accuracy of 97 per cent and was adjudged the man of the match.

Eze did not make a goal contribution for the Eagles, but he was equally impressive with seven dribbles completed and 10 duels won. He created two chances in the game.

Speaking after United’s defeat, Carragher said that Eze and Olise would walk into United’s team and they have been brilliant under the guidance of manager Oliver Glasner.

He told Sky Sports: “In Eze and Olise, Crystal Palace have got two players that would walk into Manchester United’s team. Under Oliver Glasner, they have been brilliant. Manchester United never looked like scoring.”

United should move for Olise this summer

The Red Devils had a tough outing at Selhurst Park in the absence of their talismanic captain in Bruno Fernandes. The Portuguese playmaker was ruled out due to an injury.

Alejandro Garnacho and Antony barely made an impression from the wide attacking positions last night, but the former has fared well for most of the ongoing season.

In our view, United’s main concern has been the lack of creativity from the right wing. Garnacho has impressed on occasions when he has played there, but the club need consistency.

Olise could be the solution. The Frenchman has had an injury-plagued campaign, but he has still excelled with nine goals and four assists from just 1,099 minutes of first-team football.

He has picked up multiple hamstring injuries this season, but has stood out for Palace on his return. The right winger could be the subject of multiple transfer bids this summer.

The 22-year-old has a £60 million release clause in his contract. United may have to be pro-active in the pursuit with Chelsea and Paris Saint-Germain also said to be scouting him.
