Manchester United are scheduled to face Arsenal on the road in the Premier League on New Year’s Day. The Red Devils have recently impressed with two league victories on the bounce and they have the opportunity to extend the winning streak against a struggling Gunners outfit.
United have enjoyed good success with two wins in the previous three trips to the Emirates Stadium but manager Ole Gunnar Solskjaer needs to guard his side against any complacency against the Gunners, who should provide a response after their late disappointment against Chelsea in the derby.

Predicted Lineup:
David de Gea came up with an assured display against Burnley last weekend where he kept his first clean sheet in the league since September. The Spaniard will definitely start in goal against the Gunners.
In the defence, Victor Lindelof and Harry Maguire should continue at the heart of the backline but there will definitely be changes in the full-back spots. Aaron Wan-Bissaka and Luke Shaw are expected to replace Ashley Young and Brandon Williams respectively.
Paul Pogba has apparently not travelled with the squad for the New Year’s Day clash and there are doubts regarding his involvement. In this case, Nemanja Matic and Fred should keep their places in the central midfield. Scott McTominay is presently sidelined with a long-term knee injury.
Further forward, Solskjaer may not consider any changes from the previous game at Burnley. There is the temptation to field Jesse Lingard ahead of Andreas Pereira because of his good scoring record against Arsenal but he does not deserve to start on the basis of his below-par performances this term.
Elsewhere, Solskjaer has a probable selection headache involving Mason Greenwood and Daniel James on the right wing but the latter should keep his place after his tireless performance at Turf Moor, where he made more tackles than any player and also grabbed himself a late assist.
