Jadon Sancho set for Man Utd stay, PSG unlikely to make a bid

Manchester United are poised to offer one of their underperforming stars a renewed chance to revitalise his Old Trafford career.

Jadon Sancho has been linked with a move to Paris Saint-Germain this summer. The French club aim to bolster their attack after Kylian Mbappe’s departure.

The Telegraph claims that PSG are ‘unlikely’ to bid for Sancho as he is not part of their plans.

United are reportedly willing to offer the 25-year-old a fresh opportunity to rejuvenate his career.

The forward was involved in a public feud with Erik ten Hag last September.

He effectively called Ten Hag a liar on social media after the manager questioned his training levels.

He was banished from United’s first team and sent on loan for the second half of the 2023/24 season.

The duo have chosen to move past their dispute, leading to Sancho’s reinstatement in the squad.

The £25 million-rated star made his first appearance of the season in the penalty shoot-out defeat to Manchester City in the FA Community Shield.

He was one of the two United players who missed their spot kicks.

Sancho faces a tough battle to play regularly due to the heavy competition for the two wing positions.

Marcus Rashford and Alejandro Garnacho stand out as solid options on the left flank.

Garnacho has also shown great adaptability from the right-wing spot. Meanwhile, Amad Diallo has made a notable impact and could play a significant role this season.

Antony and Facundo Pellistri are other alternatives.

The Red Devils are eyeing a move for PSG’s Manuel Ugarte and could have offered a straight swap deal with Sancho heading the other way.

However, the Ligue 1 outfit are not keen on signing him which could impact United’s pursuit of Ugarte.
