Manchester United have confirmed the return of Jadon Sancho to pre-season training at Carrington.
Sancho last trained with the United first-team squad nine months ago.
He called Erik ten Hag a liar on social media last year after the United manager did not select him for the matchday squad against Arsenal due to his performances in training.
The 24-year-old was subsequently asked to apologise to the manager but refused to do so.
He was sent on loan to Borussia Dortmund for the second half of the 2023/24 season.
According to ESPN, Sancho held positive discussions with Ten Hag this week and will be available for selection moving forward.
The Red Devils will face Rosenborg in Trondheim for the first pre-season game on July 15.
Final chance for Jadon Sancho to redeem himself?
Ten Hag and Sancho have reportedly agreed to draw a line on their disagreement and will move on.
Sancho is available for pre-season, but his future is still uncertain.
Juventus are ‘pushing’ to sign him, but United want £40 million to sanction his sale.
After chasing his signature for over a year, they signed Sancho in a £85m deal from Dortmund in 2021.
The Red Devils should be in no rush to let Sancho depart on the cheap. He has two years left on his contract with the option for another 12 months.
He is an immensely talented player but still needs to show his worth.
It would be great for all parties if Ten Hag can bring the best out of the England international.
