The Jadon Sancho transfer saga is not going to end soon. After Manchester United missed the 10th August deadline, Borussia Dortmund CEO Michael Zorc confirmed that the 20-year-old forward will stay with the German club.
Today, Sancho spoke to Sport Bible about his life, transfer rumours and his homecoming to England.
“No, the media’s the media. They’re always going to try and create a story, but this is how you manage it,” Sancho replied when asked if the transfer rumours affect him.
“For me, I just focus on my football. I just want to do what’s best for my team and win titles at the end of the day.”
BVB have slapped a £108m fee on Sancho and are not willing to accept any bid lower than that.
“I guess it’s a nice feeling to be worth so much, but again, I don’t really look at it that much. For me it’s about doing well for my team and doing well for myself as well,” Sancho replied when he was asked what goes through his mind when a big transfer amount is set for you.
Sancho has scored 34 goals and registered 53 assists in his three-year spell at Dortmund. Manchester United are the front-runners to sign him but they could face competition from other European clubs if they delay.
