Manchester United are eyeing a move for AC Milan play maker Hakan Calhanoglu. Calhanoglu is valued at €23 million by Transfermarket.
According to a report by Italian outlet Gazzetta dello Sport, Manchester United are preparing to lure the Turkish International.
United are ready to offer him a five-year contract to get him on a free transfer.
Hakan Calhanoglu has been an integral part of AC Milan’s recent resurgence under Stefano Pioli, along with former United player Zlatan Ibrahimovic.
The club loves him and would like to keep him beyond his current deal. They are preparing to offer him a new contract. But, the lure of Premier League football could be too much for the Turkish play maker.
Man United were also interested in moving for Calhanoglu in the summer transfer window but were put off by their pursuit of Jadon Sancho and Milan’s desire to keep the player at the club.
But, the situation is slowly changing.
United are looking to capitalize at Calhanoglu’s uncertain future.
Daily Mail Italy claim that Calhanoglu has been left frustrated by Milan’s latest offer of a deal worth £2.8 million a season (£54,000 a week) and the situation is far from being resolved. He is due to meet with Milan chiefs for further talks next month.
Calhanoglu’s brilliant start to the new season where he scored four goals and assisted another four is something to ponder about.
