Italian club AS Roma are preparing to launch offers for two Manchester United players- Chris Smalling and Diogo Dalot.
Fabrizio Romano reports that Roma are considering to make a new bid for Smalling. United are still adamant over the €20m price tag and they don’t want anything less.
Earlier this month, Roma boss Paulo Fonseca confirmed that they are pushing to bring Smalling back to Italy permanently.
Smalling made 37 appearances for Roma and was one of the best defenders in the league.
Smalling was also linked to a move to Inter and Newcastle United in the recent past.
For Dalot, Roma are considering a very similar offer they made last year for Smalling. Italian outlet Tuto Mercato understands that Roma are ready to make move for Dalot.
AC Milan are interested in Dalot too on a ‘loan+buy option’ deal. United are looking for a permanent deal but no agreements have reached so far.
Dalot was also linked to Premier League club Everton for a brief period of time this month.
Dalot arrived at Old Trafford in 2018 and the transfer hasn’t yielded sweet results for United. Ole Gunnar Solskjaer prefers academy graduate Timothy Fosu-Mensah as the Dutchman started ahead of Dalot against Crystal Palace in the Premier League.
Its been around 11 months since Dalot started a game in the league- his last coming in October against Newcastle United last season.
