Inter Milan’s interest in Arturo Vidal open doors for Manchester United to sign €35m Italian wonderkid

Manchester United were left behind in the race to sign Sandro Tonali when Inter Milan made progress to sign the Italian wonderkid earlier this month.

Last month, it was reported that Inter submitted a €30m initial bid for Tonali. However, latest reports by Fabrizio Romano suggests Inter Milan are in talks with Barcelona midfielder Arturo Vidal.

New boss Ronald Koeman is looking to revamp the squad and Barcelona could experience a mass exodus. Vidal is one of the names to leave Camp Nou.

Inter manager Antonio Conte wants to reunite with Vidal after sharing a fruitful four-year spell at Juventus before.

Brescia President confirmed that Tonali prefers to move to Juventus or Inter Milan. With Inter in talks with a similar player, it’s logical that the Nerazzurri wouldn’t sign Tonali. Goal confirmed last week that Juventus have dropped out of the race to sign Tonali.

Juventus and Inter Milan are both out of the race. This comes as good news for Manchester United. Tonali wanted to play for either of the clubs but couldn’t.

As per Corriere dello Sport [via Metro], United got in touch with Tonali’s entourage to finalize a deal yesterday.

United need depth in their midfield and Tonali could be a great acquisition for the Red Devils. He has a lot of potential to fulfil – and fits the profile which Ole Gunnar Solskjaer is targetting.
