A section of the Manchester United supporters have slammed the performance of Andreas Pereira during the club’s 1-0 Premier League defeat at Bournemouth on Saturday afternoon.
The Red Devils had gone into the game with three straight-away wins and they made a quick start at the Vitality Stadium and looked good value to find the breakthrough.
However, the likes of Pereira and Fred squandered their opportunities to find the net early and the former in particular was poor with his performance for the 68 minutes he was on the field.
Pereira was lauded for his set-piece taking abilities against Norwich City last weekend but he was disappointing with the same against the Cherries, where he failed to beat the first defender.
Elsewhere, he found himself in a number of counter-attacking positions, but his distribution was likewise not up to the mark with his passes either finding the opposition defender or going out of play.
Following the game, a number of United fans have expressed their anger towards the Brazilian forward and a few believe the 23-year-old does not deserve to command the number 10 role.
Twitter Reactions:
Imagine if we had a proper playmaker today. Andreas Pereira has been in so many good positions to put our forwards through on goal and his passing has been horrific. ?

Pereira hasn’t taken one decent corner hitting the first defender every time

Can't criticise Pereira's work rate but he really is not good enough nor creative enough to play for Manchester United.Extremely poor yet again today.

United appeared to have turned the corner with a hard-fought draw against Liverpool which was followed by three away wins on the trot. However, their old traits were once again visible against the Cherries where they were restricted to scoring attempts from outside the box.
With the result, the Red Devils have dropped to the 10th spot in the standings. They are currently seven points behind the top four positions but this gap could extend further, should Leicester City register a victory against Crystal Palace away from home.
