A section of the Manchester United fans have praised the impressive performance of Daniel James in the club’s 2-0 win over Burnley in the Premier League on Saturday evening.
The Wales international returned to the starting lineup in the place of Mason Greenwood on the right wing and a few supporters questioned the selection, given the latter had a good game against Newcastle United.
However, James managed to prove his worth with a tireless display over the course of the Clarets clash and he capped his performance with an assist for Marcus Rashford’s goal in the 95th minute.
James was on the wrong end of a number of rash challenges from the Clarets due to his quick feet and he ended up drawing as many as five fouls.
Elsewhere, he was also impressive with the defensive work as he made four tackles and that was the most managed by any player through the entire game.
As a result, a number of the club’s faithful have heaped praise on his all-round performance at Turf Moor and a few of them have taken to Twitter to appreciate the same.
Twitter Reactions:
Shout out needs to go out to Daniel James. He recently has received unwarranted criticism of late and had a great performance tonight. People were expecting him to play like prime Messi when he came in. He's surpassed our expectations with 6 assits 3 goals in 19 games??#MUFC pic.twitter.com/mBHBAQqhhF

That 2nd goal though. All @Daniel_James_97. 94th minute after getting kicked up and down the park he still gets up and makes that last minute run. If there’s ever an example of the type of player we need it’s this guy. Heart of a lion. pic.twitter.com/vGACQSlBwd

James has been a terrific purchase for the Red Devils and he has now accumulated six assists and three goals from 19 appearances in the Premier League this season.
There were signs that he was struggling with fatigue after starting 17 league games on the bounce, but he has managed to shed any fears by showing a high workrate throughout the entire match at Burnley.
