Harry Maguire ready to move on from Man Utd amid fears of missing out on starting role at Euro 2024

Manchester United defender Harry Maguire is prepared to move on this summer amid fears of missing out on a starting role at Euro 2024, The Daily Mail report.

The England international has been a back-up player for most of the current campaign and he has largely started games when Raphael Varane has been on the sidelines with injuries.

Ahead of the summer, it is reported that the 30-year-old is concerned over the lack of faith from manager Erik ten Hag. He is willing to leave the club to play regular first-team football.

Maguire has been an undisputed starter for the Three Lions for the past six years but he is worried about losing his starting spot amid his reduced playing time at Old Trafford.

Man Utd should cash in on Maguire this summer

Maguire has had another frustrating campaign at United. He has been prone to making errors and one of those came in the 3-0 Europa League defeat to Sevilla this month.

The Englishman has struggled to find form and consistency amid his reduced playing role. He could benefit from joining another club where he could start every game.

As per The Mail, West Ham United, Inter Milan and Roma were interested in signing him in January and we won’t be surprised if one of them make a fresh summer approach.

In our opinion, Victor Lindelof should be United’s immediate back-up to Varane and Martinez next term.

If Maguire leaves for the right price, the club should purchase a young centre-back. We would personally prefer another left-footed option such as Goncalo Inacio.
