Some Manchester United fans were absolutely delighted with the performance of Bruno Fernandes during the club’s 5-0 win over Club Brugge in the second leg of the Europa League round of 32 tie.
The Red Devils entered the second leg with a 1-1 aggregate score but they managed to comfortably win on the night with Fernandes putting up another splendid display from the number 10 spot.
Fernandes opened the scoring for United from the penalty spot in the 27th minute and few moments later, he came up with a terrific pass for Juan Mata, who assisted Odion Ighalo for his maiden United goal.
The Portuguese managed only 65 minutes before he was substituted but he was definitely the standout performer until then with three key passes (whoscored), which was more than any other United player.
Here are some of the fans’ reactions….
Fernandes creates, creates and creates some more. Great player. Could watch him all day long.

Bruno Fernandes’ brain has knocked 5 years off of Juan Mata. Their link up has been amazing.

Bruno Fernandes is like watching football on fast forward. His vision is incredible and his passing is a class apart from anything else we have in midfield. #MUFC

Fernandes was signed during the winter transfer window with high expectations and he has certainly lived up to those during his first four starts in the Manchester United shirt.
The 25-year-old has not taken much time to settle into the new surroundings and he should only get better as he gets to know more about the characteristics of the players around him.
Meanwhile, United have taken another step closer to the Europa League title. They will get to know their next opponents following tomorrow’s draw at the UEFA headquarters in Nyon, Switzerland.
Manchester United will be in Premier League action against Everton at Goodison Park on Sunday.
