A selection of Manchester United supporters have reacted positively to the recent transfer speculation linking Ajax’s Donny van de Beek with a possible January move to the club.
The Netherlands international has attracted plenty of interest from Europe’s elite and he came close to joining Real Madrid last summer before he decided to remain committed to Ajax.
Still, his future with the Dutch champions has been constantly speculated and a recent report from ESPN has claimed that there is the possibility of the midfielder heading through the exit door.
Furthermore, it has been stated that manager Ole Gunnar Solskjaer has a particular preference in signing the Dutchman and he has urged executive vice-chairman Ed Woodward to consider an approach.
While a deal remains unrealistic at the present moment, some United supporters believe Van de Beek would prove a worthwhile signing for the side during the ongoing transfer window.
Here are some of the Twitter reactions….
I hope van de beek comes to Manchester United #GainSZN

Van de Beek has generally operated in the centre of the park for Ajax and he has the tendency of making goalscoring contributions with eight goals and six assists in the Dutch top-flight and Champions League combined this season.
This trait perfectly suits the Red Devils, who are yearning for a game-changer from the midfield but they still have a battle on their hands to convince the midfielder to join them, particularly with the long-term interest from Real Madrid, who are still playing in the Champions League.
Van de Beek is currently valued in excess of £50m, as per ESPN.
