Gary Neville has no doubt regarding which player Manchester United should sign to turn their midfield into a major force.
Jude Bellingham and Declan Rice have been linked with United in recent months, with the club keen to add quality in the middle of the park.
When asked on Twitter by a fan who he would like United to sign next summer, his answer was short and to the point.
Widely regarded as one of the hottest prospects in European football, Bellingham has gone from strength to strength since joining Borussia Dortmund in 2020.
The 18-year-old demonstrated his class in the Bundesliga and was deservedly called up by England at the European Championships.
His bursting darts between the lines, pinpoint passing and ability to move past his markers have helped Bellingham become a standout performer in Germany.
Meanwhile, Rice needs no introduction having enjoyed four stellar seasons in the Premier League en route to earning a reputation as a generational talent.
Despite being just 22-years-old, Rice is already vice-captain at West Ham United and a permanent fixture in the national team.
The Red Devils may find it difficult to sign Rice, given that he has three years left to run on his current contract at the London Stadium.
It would require a significant financial sacrifice from Man United to get the deal over the line.
However, Hammers manager David Moyes has repeatedly made it clear that he considers Rice indispensable to his plans.
On that basis, United may have more luck securing Bellingham’s services as Dortmund have a track record of nurturing young talent before selling them for a profit.
