From Leao to Rogers: Four dangerous wingers who could electrify Man United next season

Manchester United are expected to bolster their attack by signing a new winger this summer.

Matheus Cunha, Bryan Mbeumo and Amad Diallo remain the only recognised senior wide attackers available at Old Trafford.

There is a growing need for another explosive winger capable of stretching defences, creating width and consistently taking on defenders in one-versus-one situations.

Here we look at four wingers who could arrive at Man United this summer.

Iliman Ndiaye – Everton

Ndiaye is one of the most exciting attacking players on our list.

The Everton winger has already shown flashes of brilliance and continues to develop into a dangerous forward.

The 26-year-old is capable of playing on either flank and would immediately add valuable attacking depth to the squad.

He possesses the individual quality required to completely change the momentum of matches in difficult moments.

He also possesses a high work rate, which would be highly appreciated by United manager Michael Carrick.

Rafael Leao – AC Milan

Leao is desperate to play in the Premier League.

His representatives could offer him to United, with AC Milan understood to be demanding at least £43 million to sanction his departure.

Despite only being 26 years old, Leao already possesses enormous experience after making nearly 300 appearances for Milan over the last seven years.

Leao is a traditional left winger who likes to cut inside. His style of play will remind United fans of Marcus Rashford.

However, his defensive work rate remains a concern and that could be further exposed in the Premier League.

Morgan Rogers – Aston Villa

Rogers could be a dream signing for the Red Devils.

The Aston Villa star is capable of operating from the left wing but could also eventually develop into a long-term successor to Bruno Fernandes in the number 10 role.

He has been in sensational form for Villa and could further elevate his reputation on the grand stage of the FIFA World Cup.

Adding Rogers alongside Cunha and Mbeumo could instantly transform United’s attack into one of the most dangerous units in the league.

Such an addition could even help the Red Devils emerge as genuine contenders for the Premier League title again.

The only major obstacle remains Aston Villa’s staggering valuation.

Several elite clubs are closely monitoring Rogers, but Villa are reportedly determined to demand at least £100 million before entertaining any offers.

Yan Diomande – RB Leipzig

Diomande is widely viewed as one of the brightest young attacking talents in European football.

He possesses breathtaking pace and elite dribbling skills.

RB Leipzig value him extremely highly and are expected to demand more than £110 million to sanction his departure.

Liverpool and Paris Saint-Germain are already heavily interested in signing the Ivory Coast wonderkid.

INEOS have to prioritise the rebuilding of the midfield.

However, they have already shown an ability to produce unexpected blockbuster signings, just as they did with Benjamin Sesko last summer when many believed United had exhausted their finances.
