Amrabat joined United on loan from Fiorentina on deadline day last summer with plenty of hype.
He was tremendous for Morocco during the 2022 World Cup where he was described as ‘world-class‘ by manager Walid Regragui.
However, he struggled to adapt to the intensity of the Premier League and fell out-of-favour in the second half of last season.
Amrabat started to find his feet in the final month of the campaign, but United decided against triggering the option to purchase him.
In our view, the club have moved on from him and may not renegotiate a fresh transfer deal.
The biggest hint over the same is on the club’s official website. Amrabat’s name has today been removed from the first-team squad list.
