Finances explained: Manchester United paid Alexis Sanchez to get rid of him

Inter Milan signed Alexis Sanchez on a free deal with a 3-year deal after completing Sanchez one year of a loan spell in Italy.

Although it seems free transfer but a report from Daily Mail suggests that United paid a fee around £5m-£7m to the Chilean forward which the club has described as a ‘small pay-off’.

At United, he was the highest-paid player in the Premier League at the time of his arrival which was almost £500,000/week after adding all his bonuses.

From a talismanic figure at Arsenal to a flop at Man United, he is now moving to San Siro where he has signed a three-year deal with a humble wage of £130,000/week.

This has led to victory for both sides as selling of Sanchez means reduced financial pressure on united which can help Sancho transfer. The ex-Red devil is also delighted about that as expressed himself to a local Italian news outlet as:

“I am really happy to be staying here with you, Inter fans. I have found a family here and the staff are great.I’m hungry and I want to win: my goal is to make all our fans happy. I’m here to win, and I’m happy that I’m staying here at Inter!”
