Falcao: “I want to make history at United”

9d95a711-b618-4707-a19c-9859617bc117Radamel Falcao has said he wants to remain at Manchester United after his loan deal expires at the end of the season and that he wants to “make history” at the club.

The Colombian was a surprising signing on deadline day, as he arrived from Monaco in a season-long loan for £6m, a move which some said was a desperate one. However, with the possibility of making his switch to United permanent at the end of the season, Falcao has indicated he wants to remain at the club.

“I hope to stay many years at Manchester United and make history at this club,” he said.

“I feel good. I have had a great welcome. Any settling in period is easy when the quality of players is so good.”

Falcao suffered an anterior cruciate ligament injury last season and had to miss the World Cup as a result, but he said he’s fully recovered and ready to take on the challenge that is playing in the Premier League.

“I feel well,” said the Colombian, who scored seven goals in his first seven games for Monaco last season. “I started to play two months ago with Monaco. I’ve improved in the last month. I’ve scored goals which is important to a striker.

“I’m confident with my physical form and I’m comfortable with my knee.”

“It’s a big challenge for me and for my career. I always dreamed to be in a club like Manchester United.”
