Radamel Falcao might have dropped the biggest hint yet that his future lies away from Old Trafford, after thanking the fans for the “incredible support” this season.
The 29-year-old was substituted on Sunday and trudged off the pitch to a standing ovation, while on Tuesday he took to Twitter to thank the United supporters for what he described as an “unforgettable” season.
Thank you so much for the incredible support of the @ManUtd fans all season. Unforgettable. http://t.co/ISWzTcop3F pic.twitter.com/KPY24HVxGl

Throughout his loan spell at the club, the Colombian has failed to recapture the form he had shown at Porto and Atletico Madrid, scoring just four Premier League goals in 28 appearances and United appear unlikely to meet Monaco’s demand of £43.5m this summer.
Whether his message on Twitter was simply intended to thank the fans or not remains to be seen, but the Colombian’s future appears to lie increasingly away from Old Trafford.
