Jadon Sancho’s move to Manchester United has stalled.
Manchester United had identified the English winger as their top target for this year’s transfer window, but a stubborn Dortmund negotiating team and the after-effects of the coronavirus cash crunch have left this transfer in a standstill.
Sancho is United’s top transfer target but negotiations appear to have come to a standstill after Borussia Dortmund’s imposed deadline of August 10 passed without the deal being completed.
It’s understood that United deemed the deadline as ‘meaningless’ as the transfer window doesn’t close until October 5 but sporting director Michael Zorc is adamant that the 20-year-old will be remaining with the club.
With both the clubs not being able to agree with each other on the transfer fees, this transfer seems like the one which is going to drag on till the end of the window.
Transfer Guru Fabrizio Romano has named the two alternative players which he thinks Manchester United are going to target if the Jadon Sancho deal doesn’t go through. First being Ousmane Dembele and the second being Kingsley Coman. Both are young and extremely talented French wingers who’d certainly linkup well with Paul Pogba and Anthony Martial at Old Trafford. But their respective injury records are a cause for concern, especially with United’s injury problems.
Both players have been worked on behind the scenes at United before so it is hardly surprising as to why the club has them on the shopping list…
