They are bottom of their Champions League group with just one game remaining.
They won’t qualify for the Europa League competition if they finish last in the group.
Erik ten Hag ended Man United’s six-year barren run with the League Cup triumph last season.
He will want to grab silverware this term as well to prove the rebuild under him is going in the right direction.
The Red Devils should be favourites against Wigan. However, a positive result is not guaranteed as they have been highly inconsistent this season.
A trip to DW Stadium could be a tricky fixture, considering Wigan have not conceded a single goal in the first two rounds of the FA Cup.
Man United dominated the last meeting between the two sides. They eliminated the Latics in the fourth round of the FA Cup with a 4-0 win at Old Trafford in January 2017.
