Exciting news on Jack Grealish to Man Utd transfer

Grealish

Manchester United have been strongly linked with a move for Jack Grealish this year.

The 24-year-old has been a standout in a poor Aston Villa side that remain in the relegation zone after Wednesday’s controversial 0-0 draw with Sheffield United as the 2019-20 Premier League season has restarted.

Grealish has scored seven goals and setup six more in 27 Premier League starts this season. The Villans themselves have scored just 34 goals all season.

Manager Dean Smith has split the playmakers’ time between a left wing and central midfield role. He has been influential in both.

Reports this morning are now claiming that Jack Grealish is ‘determined’ to leave Villa Park this summer amid interest from Manchester United. That’s according to The Athletic.

Ole Gunnar Solskjaer is believed to want a new right winger and central midfielder before the start of next season. Jack Grealish would certainly add a lot of energy and talent to the middle of the park at Old Trafford.

Personally, I would be excited to see Jack Grealish in a Manchester United shirt as he is good at both winning the ball back and using it well. The thought of him teaming up with Bruno Fernandes behind our attack is an exciting proposition.

Grealish scores most of his goals whilst playing out wide, in a role that I wouldn’t expect him to play too often should we sign him before the start of next season. When playing in a central midfield three at Villa, he often dictates the pace of the game, wins possession back for his side and start attacks. He has won the most free kicks in the Premier League so far this season.

Yesterday we reported that Manchester United would need to splash out £80 million for the midfielder’s signature, who is tied down to a contract until the summer of 2024 in the West Midlands.
