A selection of Manchester United fans have expressed their delight over the performance of Marcus Rashford against Tottenham Hotspur on Wednesday night.
The England international has undoubtedly been one of the standout performers for the club this term and he made the difference early against Spurs by scoring with a low shot in the sixth minute.
Rashford thereafter was a constant threat from the left flank and he was unlucky to not score his second goal in the opening half as his stunning long-range strike hit the woodwork.
Dele Alli grabbed Spurs’ equaliser prior to the half-time interval but Rashford managed to give United the lead shortly after the break with a neatly taken penalty which he won himself.
Towards the closing stages of the game, Rashford had a wonderful chance to bag a hat-trick, which has not been achieved by any United player since 2013, but that was not meant to be.
Following the match, a number of United fans have lauded the efforts of Rashford, who took it upon himself to guide the Red Devils to a much-needed Premier League victory.
Twitter Reactions:
Fantastic to see Rashford scoring on a consistent basis and effecting big games. He's had plenty of first-team experience, but still young at 22. Positive signs this season that he's now handling the pressure of being the club's main goalscorer.

Marcus Rashford’s mindset over the last few months has been nothing short of sensational. He’s buckled down and taken the opportunity to be the star man of the team he supports and he’s loving it. Best player on the pitch yet again. So impressive.

Rashford has contributed 12 goals and four assists in the current campaign and he has been quite clearly the standout figure in the attacking department with Anthony Martial behind him with just five goals and three assists.
With Martial out with a muscular injury, Solskjaer had the option of featuring Rashford as the lone striker upfront against Spurs but the decision to stick with him on the left wing was certainly the right choice. The 22-year-old managed the most take-ons (5) and most shots on target (4) for United during the game.
