Manchester United defeated Everton 3-0 at Goodison Park today to climb up to sixth place in the Premier League.
A hostile environment was expected from Everton fans after a ten-point penalty was imposed on the club for a breach of Premier League profitability and sustainability rules.
Man United wonderkid Alejandro Garnacho silenced the hosts with an unbelievable overhead kick in the third minute of the game.
The Toffees came back strongly and should have at least levelled the score by half-time.
Their wastefulness came back to haunt them with Marcus Rashford doubling Man United’s lead from the penalty spot.
Anthony Martial bagged the game’s third goal to ensure his side took all three points.
Let’s get into some player ratings.
Player Ratings
Andre Onana – 8/10
The 27-year-old made pivotal stops to keep Everton at bay. He commanded his box well during set-pieces from where the hosts could be threatening at times.
Diogo Dalot – 7/10
It was an excellent evening for the right-back who constantly overlapped Rashford on the right flank. One of those runs earned him an assist for Garnacho’s magnificent strike.
Harry Maguire – 7/10
Another rock-solid performance from the former United skipper.
Victor Lindelof – 6/10
The Sweden international was bullied by Dominic Calvert-Lewin a couple of times in the first half.
Luke Shaw – 7/10
Having Shaw back was like a breath of fresh air. He was strong in defence and supported attacks on the left flank.
Kobbie Mainoo – 9/10
It is hard to believe that Mainoo is only 18 years old. The youngster kept it simple at the centre. He looked like he had played at the highest level for a decade.
The starlet also made a fantastic clearance off the line when United were just one goal ahead.
Ten Hag has a gem on his hands.
Scott McTominay – 6/10
The Scotland international did not make a significant impact but helped Mainoo defensively.
Bruno Fernandes – 7/10
Fernandes showed fantastic leadership by letting Rashford take the penalty. He played key passes for United’s second and third goals.
Alejandro Garnacho – 8/10
The Argentine put Man United ahead early with an audacious bicycle kick. His magnificent strike could arguably be the goal of the season.
Marcus Rashford – 6/10
Rashford is still struggling to beat defenders, which shows how low his confidence is. He created a fine chance for Garnacho to put the game to bed, but the youngster missed the target.
Hopefully, his goal from the spot could elevate his confidence ahead of a must-win Champions League encounter.
Anthony Martial – 7/10
It was another anonymous display from the Frenchman before he won the penalty in the second half.
He showed great technique and calmness to chip the ball over Jordan Pickford for United’s third goal.

Aaron Wan-Bissaka – 6/10
The right-back showcased his trademark sliding tackle to win the ball back during his short cameo.
