Manchester United manager Erik ten Hag has provided an injury update on two players ahead of the Premier League clash at Bournemouth.
The Red Devils played out a 2-2 draw against Liverpool at Old Trafford last weekend. They were completely outclassed in the opening half but delivered a terrific response.
The club could have won the game had Aaron Wan-Bissaka not conceded a penalty.
Speaking in today’s presser, the manager revealed that Marcus Rashford trained yesterday. The €60 million-rated star will be assessed again following today’s session.
The Dutchman was less optimistic over Scott McTominay’s availability. The Scot suffered a knee problem at Chelsea and Ten Hag said he is very doubtful for the game.
He told Manutd.com: “Rashy trained yesterday and [we will] see how he recovered from it today. We will have training again today and then we will make a decision on it.”
“Scott? I don’t think so. We have training, so we have a day and he will push. He is so keen to be part of it tomorrow, but I think it is very questioning.”
United are currently 11 points adrift of the top four and they need a huge turnaround in the next seven games to qualify for the Champions League next season.
Irrespective of this, the Red Devils need to end the campaign on a strong note. They have the chance to go on a winning streak to bring some joy to the fans.
The club will be aiming to avenge a 3-0 defeat at Old Trafford when they face the Cherries tomorrow.
The players will need to be at their best as Andoni Iraola’s side are currently on a three-match winning run at the Vitality Stadium, scoring seven goals in the process.
