Erik ten Hag has his sights on reuniting with Ajax star Mohammed Kudus

Manchester United manager Erik ten Hag has his sights on reuniting with Ajax playmaker Mohammed Kudus this summer, according to TalkSPORT.

The Red Devils have made good progress under the Dutch tactician this term and they are currently on course to qualify for next season’s Champions League.

Ten Hag is likely to be backed with another spending spree in the summer and talkSPORT report that Kudus is one of the top names on his wishlist.

Kudus would be a top-class signing

Kudus struggled in his first two seasons at Ajax due to multiple injuries. He was only a fringe player under Ten Hag during the course of the previous campaign.

However, he has transformed his fortunes this season. The 22-year-old has registered an impressive 17 goals and four assists from 34 appearances for Ajax.

The Ghanaian star has been largely successful as a striker but he has also made goal contributions from the right wing and number 10 positions for his club.

In our opinion, Kudus would be a top-class signing with his versatility in the final third.

Ten Hag knows him very well from their two years together at Ajax and it may not be hard to convince him to join, provided a transfer deal is finalised with Ajax.

That could be United’s main stumbling block. Ajax rejected a £15 million bid from Everton for the ‘special talent‘ last summer but they may now demand a significant fee.

United were made to pay huge sums of money to prise away Lisandro Martinez and Antony from Ajax last summer and the Dutch outfit won’t make it easy for them.
