Manchester United played out a goalless Premier League draw against Crystal Palace on Saturday.
The Red Devils were by far the dominant team for the opening hour of the game, but they lacked the cutting edge in the final third.
Alejandro Garnacho and Bruno Fernandes rattled the woodwork while goalkeeper Dean Henderson made a number of top notch saves.
Despite the stalemate, there were some positives to carry forward. Andre Onana was exceptional in goal and made a stunning double save.
Matthijs de Ligt was dominant in the air and he produced another fantastic showing.
His ex-Bayern Munich teammate Noussair Mazraoui was another bright spark. The right-back had 100 touches with 54 passes completed.
The 26-year-old won 10 ground and aerial duels. He also made five clearances and seven recoveries during the trip to Selhurst Park.
Mazraoui has looked at home right from the curtain-raiser against Fulham and in our view, he is undroppable at the current point.
Diogo Dalot has been United’s regular right-back when Luke Shaw has been fit and firing at left-back.
Shaw is due to make his return in the coming weeks. Dalot, who has played at left-back lately, could drop to the bench instead of Mazraoui.
The former Ajax man has shown that he is well versed to playing as an inverted right-back and he has looked comfortable from the off.
He is better offensively and defensively compared to Dalot and we expect him to keep his place ahead of the Portuguese when Shaw returns.
