Manchester United manager Erik ten Hag could make at least four changes for Sunday’s Premier League clash against Nottingham Forest on the road.
The Red Devils drew 2-2 against Sevilla in the first leg of the Europa League quarter-final last night. The draw came at a cost with Raphael Varane and Lisandro Martinez suffering injuries.
Ten Hag has hinted that the duo are likely to miss the next two games at least but the Dutchman could be tempted to make more changes this weekend.
With Varane and Martinez sidelined, we could see Harry Maguire partnering Victor Lindelof at the heart of the defence for the Red Devils at City Ground.
Meanwhile, we anticipate Tyrell Malacia to be dropped after his dreadful performance against Sevilla.
If Ten Hag opts for a change, we could see Diogo Dalot in the left-back position, suppose Luke Shaw fails to recover from his hamstring injury for the game.
Dalot has made several appearances in his career from the role and should not find it difficult to adapt.
Elsewhere, we fancy Jadon Sancho to drop to the bench. Similar to Malacia, the Englishman struggled to impress from the left wing against the La Liga outfit.
With Marcus Rashford nursing a groin injury, there is a possibility that Anthony Martial could start on the left flank with Wout Weghorst leading the attack.
The other choice could be to play Bruno Fernandes on the left wing such that Martial continues up front.
Christian Eriksen or Fred could be reinstated in midfield alongside Casemiro, allowing Marcel Sabitzer to continue in the number 10 role after his brace last night.
