Manchester United have been strongly linked with Borussia Dortmund star Jadon Sancho all year.
The 20-year-old is coming off a phenomenal season which saw him score 17 goals and record 16 assists in 32 bundesliga appearances (25 starts) this past campaign.
Sancho added a further two goals and two assists in eight Champions League appearances (7 starts) for the German giants too.
Whilst there is no agreement yet in place for Jadon Sancho to join Borussia Dortmund, reports have suggested a deal could be on the cards before the start of next season.
And a deal could certainly be on the cards now as it has been confirmed this morning that Borussia Dortmund have completed the signing of Juge Bellingham in a deal worth over £30 million from Birmingham City.
The 17-year-old could be considered a direct replacement for Sancho.
Borussia Dortmund aren’t short for options either, as they have Giovanni Reyna breaking through, whilst Marco Reus could also play out on the left. Though they have lost Mario Gotze on a free transfer this season.
It was previously reported that Borussia Dortmund would ask for as much as £120 million for Jadon Sancho, a fee we’re unlikely to match. However, the coronavirus pandemic could see that reduced.
Ole Gunnar Solskjaer has been getting the best out of Mason Greenwood down the right since the restart, but there’s no doubt that Jadon Sancho would be a further upgrade to our attack.
Not only would Sancho offer both a goalscoring and creative threat, but further rotation options to the boss.
An attacking trio of Sancho, Anthony Martial and Marcus Rashford in the starting XI certainly sounds like a mouth-watering proposition. But will Manchester United secure a transfer this summer?
